The Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run is a 4 mile run & walk produced by the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority. This event is not-for-profit and 100% of proceeds will go to support local not-for-profits. This event is the most unique road race experience in the northeast! Once a year pedestrians are allowed to run or walk across the Claiborne Pell Bridge from Jamestown to Newport, RI. The primary goals of the Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run are to fundraise for local not-for-profit organizations and to promote a healthy/active lifestyle. The race starts in Jamestown and ends in Downtown Newport, and is open to runners or walkers. Must be able to do three miles in an hour pace.
