The 1.2-mile swim will take place in a protected section of beautiful Sandusky Bay-with a rolling, self-seeded start by hopping off the Kelleys Island Ferry, The Carlee Emily. Athletes will walk about 150 yards from the Transition area at Paper District Marina to the Swim Start next to Jackson Street Pier. The Ferry's ramp will be lowered to the water's edge and athletes will jump off the ferry feet first to begin the swim course.
