Peavine Falls Run

The iconic Peavine Falls Run is a 4th of July tradition in Central Alabama. Why go to Atlanta and run (walk) with 60,000 people when you can visit the beautiful Oak Mountain State Park, run with 600 of your closest friends, and enjoy a great race, a fun course, and have a great time all the way around! The race starts and ends in front of the Dogwood Picnic Pavilion on Terrace Drive in Oak Mountain State Park. This is an 8.2 mile course consisting of 6.9 miles of rolling asphalt road and 1.3 miles of single-track dirt trail. The entire course is located in Oak Mountain State Park. The course climbs approximately 3.5 miles (460’ climb) to the Peavine Falls parking lot and then back down the same road until turning onto the single-track trail. The course starts and finishes in front of the Dogwood Pavilion. This is not a closed course so runners should be aware of other runners, traffic, bicyclists, and pedestrians. Walkers are welcome but must start at 6:30 am Runners will start at 7:00
