2020 EVENT VIRTUAL ONLY. *** Get your shoes laced up and get ready for another great run in the Wisconsin Northwoods. The annual Bear Cupboard Run is a very popular event that features great competition as well as one of the more scenic runs in the State. The half-marathon race will start on the trailhead of the Bearskin State Trail located off Lakewood Rd. in Goodnow, south of Minocqua, WI. The finish is just past the final trailhead at Torpy Park, Minocqua. Racers will run on the Bearskin’s crushed gravel surface following a route with few elevation changes, except for one short hill. Laid over an abandoned railway, the Bearskin takes the runner along woodlands, past marshes, lakes, and streams, and over several old abandoned wooden railway trestles. It is truly one of nature’s most beautiful trails.
