Rattlerock Ultra is a premier ultra event in Northern West Virginia. The race will include 50k and 25k distances on rocky, technical trails. The ultra distance boasts just under 6,000 feet of elevation gain—“More Gain, More Pain”—making it one of the toughest 50k races in the state. This event is organized by OFF THE GRID RUNNING, and will be held in the beautiful Coopers Rock State Forest. The mission of the event is to grow accessibility to friendly and quality ultramarathons in the area, while promoting businesses that local trail runners value. CUTOFF: 9 hours (3:30pm) SWAG: TECH TEE (the coolest) for all registered runners who show up. FINISHER SUNGLASSES (also very rad) must be earned. MARKINGS: The course will be marked with extreme care, and it will be checked right before the event to ensure that no runner gets lost due to spaced out or missing markings or signs. The fact that the event is a loop race will help runners to feel more confident and familiar with each passing loop
